Why is “Wind farm” a metaphor for the church as Jesus designed her?
Because He said His followers’ hearts, individually, are like “soil”
(Mark 4:1-20)
and together, they are “His field,” the church.
(1 Cor. 3:5-9)
The seed He plants in them is “the word of the kingdom”
(Matt. 13:19)
which grows and bears fruit in and through their lives by the Holy Spirit, whom He likened to “Wind.”
(John 3:1-8, 15:1-17)
And as they “gather together in His Name,” Jesus is in their midst to lead and direct them by the Spirit in building each other up in love, reaching those who do not know Him with the gospel of the kingdom, and maturing together in their capacity to express more of His fullness in the place where they live.
(Matt. 18:20, 24:14, 28:18-20; Rom. 8:14, 1 Cor. 14:26, Eph. 2:19-22, 4:1-16)
Put all of this together, and in many places, and you have His Wind farms!

Wind Farm Ministries is a vehicle through which Matthew Chapman equips Jesus followers and serves “Wind farms” by helping them develop and enlarge capacity for:
- living from the kingdom of God by the Spirit
- knowing and abiding in Jesus
- recognizing His voice and moving in obedience to His leadings
- understanding God’s eternal purpose and their place in it
- functioning together as the body of Christ under Jesus’ Headship
- navigating their spiritual geography and overcoming the evil one’s opposition
- cooperating with all things Ephesians 4:1-16, which is the DNA of His church
